After many years as a yacht skipper John Hughes decided to leave the life afloat and venture into yacht brokerage, he served his apprenticeship with a well known Monaco Yacht Brokerage company and then set up on his own. In 1990 John Hughes & Associates (HUGHESHIP) was established and has since operated as sales and purchase brokers mainly for commercial vessels and the occasional yacht. Due to their many contacts in the yachting industry JH&A have been in the forefront of yacht conversions selling good quality commercial vessels to the yachtsman who then converts to a yacht or exploration vessel.
JH&A have set-up a worldwide network of ship brokers who keep them advised onsuitable vessels coming to the market.

Rothwell is pleased to introduce you to the HANSE EXPLORER – this exciting new yacht charters to a party of 12 in the Arctic and Antarctica and all ports in between. For 2009 she will be in the Southern hemisphere and available for cruises in Antarctica or the South American continent – Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.
2010 will see her in Scandinavia and the Arctic Ocean and she would be available for cruises on her way up from the Southern Hemisphere. The Hanse Explorer was custom built for exploration work especially in the colder climes. All her 7 cabins may be configured for either Queen or Twin sleeping arrangements. The Owner’s Suite is situated on the Upper Deck, consisting of a Stateroom, en suite and a large adjoining private lounge. The remaining 6 Guest Cabins on the Main Deck are practically identical, apart from subtle differences in colour scheme. All cabins have private en suite facilities.

ALANI based in Queensland, Australia Sunseeker’s latest 25 meter masterpiece features interior appointments designed by world renowned New York designer Alan Wanzenberg. Accommodating up to eight guests the ALANI is available for cruises and holidays afloat in the Whitsundays (April to September) or for VIP corporate events around Sydney waters (October to March).

Introduction
Harmony II is a classic mega-yacht, completely refurbished over a six-year period and is now available in British waters.
The restoration of this 1954 vessel involved a total internal and external refit, including new engines and the replacement of over 85 tonnes of hull plating. As for the interior, you cannot fail to be impressed by her overall spaciousness nor the integration of state of the art technology, luxury and on board facilities. All designed to make your stay on-board a truly memorable one.
Harmony II is licensed to carry up to 12 passengers for short or extended cruises. Equally, she is capable of carrying up to 100 guests on a day trip or whilst moored for parties or corporate events.
The vessel is equipped with a large state-of-the-art multi-function room, complete with the very latest in audio-visual technology. An extensive lounge/bar area and a dining room/board room are ideal for parties and meetings. There is also an on-board business centre, complete with printer, fax and internet.
The eight cabins are spacious with high ceilings, and have been individually designed to showcase the very highest quality hand-made British furniture. We are well aware of the financial crisis that is hitting many parts of the world and how it may affect yacht chartering. For charterers we have an alternative - we have successfully introduced some of our clients to the notion of hiring a cabin only. Just like a cruise ship only more intimate and personal. In the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean there are sailing catamarans that go on 5 – 7 days cruises with usually up to 14 – 16 guests on board.
