After many years as a yacht skipper John Hughes decided to leave the life afloat and venture into yacht brokerage, he served his apprenticeship with a well known Monaco Yacht Brokerage company and then set up on his own. In 1990 John Hughes & Associates (HUGHESHIP) was established and has since operated as sales and purchase brokers mainly for commercial vessels and the occasional yacht. Due to their many contacts in the yachting industry JH&A have been in the forefront of yacht conversions selling good quality commercial vessels to the yachtsman who then converts to a yacht or exploration vessel.
